The 2024 College Concert, themed Illuminate, was a vibrant celebration of talent from Transition to Year 12, lighting up the stage across two unforgettable nights. Over 30 acts showcased the diverse talents of OLSH students in music and dance. Whether through whole class performances, solo acts, or group pieces, each student shone brightly thanks to their hard work, collaboration, and creativity.

Across the two nights, we saw two teams of Year 12 MCs encapsulate and elevate the fun and energy that is College Concert. The Wednesday night’s MCs embraced a fun sub-theme based on Inside Out emotions, while Thursday night’s charismatic MCs brought to life the iconic trio of Batman, Catwoman and The Riddler. Thank you MCs for your sparkling performances. 

The event wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of the OLSH community, including countless staff and student volunteers. Special thanks to Callum from 8CCC for his expert lighting, and Ross Muir for providing exceptional sound engineering. Thank you to Danny Martin, Mr Jason Leask and the Stage 1 Media class for photography and videography. 

The behind-the-scenes heroes of the two nights were students Sam Cheetham, Kai Jarmain, Cooper Lang, and Dasein Cortez, who ensured that lighting, stage management, sound, and projection were flawless. Mrs. Rice and her volleyball crew made the café a hit, while the art display, with work from each campus featured, celebrated another vibrant layer of creativity in our school and further highlighted the exceptional talent here at OLSH.
