After 18 years of faithful, dedicated service to OLSH, our wonderful Veronica Perez is courageously taking up the new challenge of Science Specialist Teacher at South Headland Primary School, Port Headland, WA. Wow! Her new life in Port Headland with her son Joseph and husband Edgar will start at the beginning of next term (Edgar is joining her a little later).

Veronica's journey with us began when she was interviewed by Br Mark Needham in the Philippines and appointed by then Br Jim Jolley. Her embodiment of Marist education and charism has been a guiding light for all of us at OLSH. Her love and understanding for our students, past and present, is unparalleled. It's hard to quantify the number of lives she has touched, but I estimate that she has individually taught over 2500 students and influenced many more. Her absence will be deeply felt.
